About
I’m Paul Mullen. Bough is a one-person design studio in Aberdeenshire, and I work with founders and businesses whose brands exist in the physical world, rooted in place, movement, material, or environment.
I carry the work from the first brief to the final build. The brand idea that shapes the identity is the same one that shapes the website, because the same person made both. That is the point.
The outdoor and cycling work is proof of that. It isn’t the limit.
The work covers brand identity, web design, and print, from naming and strategy, through to a live site.
The work should outlast the brief.
Where
I’m based in Aberdeenshire, and the landscape is part of how I think.

There’s something useful about working somewhere that demands clarity. The marks I make need to hold up on a jersey, a summit sign, a phone screen in the rain. That standard doesn’t soften for a different sector.
