First Tracks
Overview
At Bough, we developed a brand identity for First Tracks, an eight-week program that supports entrepreneurs in the Bicycle, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation sectors. Co-hosted by South of Scotland Enterprise and Edinburgh Napier University, First Tracks offers essential resources and industry knowledge to help startups succeed. We aimed to create a visual identity that reflects the journey toward innovation, sustainability, and community.
In designing for First Tracks, we focused on imagery that inspires and supports the program's mission.
Arrow: This symbol represents momentum and ambition. It reflects the drive we encourage in every participant. It reminds everyone of the upward journey toward success that First Tracks facilitates.
Ring: This element stands for sustainability and the continuous cycle of growth and support. Sustainability is crucial in entrepreneurship and environmental care, and we wanted to highlight this value in the brand's identity.
Tree: By combining the arrow and ring, we created a form resembling a tree, symbolising growth, resilience, and nature. This ties directly to the heart of the Bicycle, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation industries that First Tracks champions.
We aimed to reflect First Tracks' guiding values. We see this program as a space where innovation flourishes, eco-friendly practices are supported, and a community of entrepreneurs grows. The identity we created seeks to represent these principles and inspire everyone involved.
Through this brand identity, we want to support First Tracks' mission of nurturing new ideas, promoting sustainable practices, and creating a community for growth in the Bicycle, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation sectors.
